3 story 4 bedroom new build The project: To construct a four bedroom house over three storeys with off road parking for two cars.
 
In theory it should be a straightforward build, but due to the location of the site in relation to the ground levels and taking into consideration where the new house needed to be located, we had to remove from site 830 tons of earth to create a level platform to site the house. 2.5 meter retaining walls were built around the plot to create an area on which the house could sit.
 
The ground floor of the new house will be a self contained ‘granny flat’ style unit with stairs rising to the first and second floors which constitute a traditional three bedroom property.
 
An interesting element of the build so far is, that whilst digging out the plot we unearthed a 30ft well.
